Regulations of IFF Sofia 2011
The second international folklore festival will be carried out from 21th to 25th of July 2011 in Sofia, Bulgaria.
The festival organizer is the Capital's Municipal Council.
The festival hasn't got a competitive character.
The festival is charge-free.
Ensembles for trained folklore can take part in the festival.
The committee of organization undertakes all expenses that are connected with the ensembles' stay in Sofia during the festival – accommodation and food.
The traveling expenses are on the participants' account.
The participants' number from every ensemble must be up to 30 people including all leaders, official guests and drivers.
The traveling expenses during the festival are on the hosts' account.
The collectives must have the following variants of prepared programme for their participation in the festival:
- opening and closing: 10 minutes
- concert programme: 30 minutes
- fragments for defile: 3-5 minutes
A lot of discussions and a dance school will be organized within the festival.
The invitations for the foreign groups must be prepared till 10.02.2011.
Confirmations for the participation in the festival will be accepted till 30.03.2011.
Besides their confirmation, the ensembles must also send:
- short annotation about, the creative work
- advertising materials
- video record: CD, DVD
- technical requirements
The groups must provide national flags that are necessary for the festival programme. An English translator is preferable.
The organizers reserve the right to take photographs and video records without payment.
