Fifth International Folklore Festival
(July 2012 )

organized by the Capital Municipal Council

Festival is a part of the project “Sofia- European Capital of Culture 2019”

The festival is non-competitive.
The festival is free of charge.
Ensembles for processed folklore are eligible to take part in the festival.
All costs for accommodation and food in Sofia during the Festival will be covered by the Organizing Committee.
The traveling expenses are on the participants' account.
Total number of the participants should not exceed 30 people, including all art- directors, official guests and drivers.

For the participation in the festival the groups have to prepare the following variants of programme:
- opening and closing: 10 minutes
- concert programme: 30 minutes
- fragments for defile: 3-5 minutes

During the festival there will be discussions and a dance school organized.
The applications of the foreign groups have to be submitted until 30 January 2012.
Applications for participation of the ensembles have to be accompanied with:
- annotation about the creative activities
- advertising materials
- video record: CD, DVD
- technical requirements

For the purposes of the festival programme national flags and preferably an English translator have to be provided by the groups.
The organizers reserve the right to take photographs and video records free of charge.
The applications of the foreign groups have to be submitted until 30 March 2012.
